About me
Hi! I'm Jarek, an ambitious software engineer with over 3 years of experience developing commercial applications.
What excites me most about software engineering is making a difference by solving real-life problems. That's why, so far, I've worked for industries that directly influence people's day-to-day lives, including healthcare and aviation.
I have a passion for problem-solving and designing scalable, efficient system architectures. While I specialize in backend development, I'm also ready to tackle frontend challenges–I'm a confident full-stack developer.
I'm always eager to learn about new, innovative projects. If you think I'd be a great fit for your team, feel free to reach out to me on Linkedin. I'd love to explore how we can work together.
My experience
Sopra Steria
03.2022 - 06.2024
At Sopra, I had the chance to work with a leading aviation company on a variety of projects. My role wasn't tied to just one product but extended across multiple tools in the client's portfolio.
One of the highlights was developing a new spatial data-capturing tool designed for the company's data analysts. Later, I helped with building an application to streamline data migration between legacy and modern systems.
At the end of my time there, I contributed to developing a large-scale distributed system. This journey taught me a lot about Agile methodology and sharpened my programming and problem-solving skills. Along the way, I also picked up experience working with cloud providers like AWS and became a truly versatile team player.
Comarch Healthcare
06.2021 - 12.2021
My first foray into the world of software development came during a summer internship at Comarch. I started as an intern, and then after three months, I was promoted to a junior role.
During my time there, I got hands-on experience with various products from the Comarch Healthcare portfolio. I worked on migrating software to a microservices architecture, fixing bugs reported by the QA team, and building a new messaging system for analytical laboratories.
Along the way, I picked up industry-standard tools like Jira, GitLab, Docker, and more. It was a great opportunity to dive into real-world projects and sharpen my skills in a professional environment.
Silesian University of Science
2018 - 2022
I graduated with a major in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Computer Science and Medical Devices. I studied a wide range of areas related to computer science, including software reliability, computer vision, machine learning, and more. I worked on several projects, the highlight being my thesis, where I built an electronic stethoscope using an ESP32 SoC. The device was connected via Wi-Fi to a web app I developed, which collected and stored data from the stethoscope.
